It's hard to keep up with dunhill these days. The brand has been extremely prolific, churning out collection after collection of leather goods. But I guess it's no surprise since dunhill's still a brand in transition. It's figuring out how it can reach out to a younger demographic group while not alienating its loyal customers. And with each collection, it feels as if they are experimenting with what works and what doesn't.

There are recurring themes which should be a good indication as to what sells. Sidecar leather sells. d-eight monogram sells. And it seems that the nylon stripe webbing sells too, making its appearance in a number of recent collections, including the just-launched dunhill Ensign.

Ensign's soft tumbled leather was supposedly inspired by a dunhill driving jacket from the 1990s. The dark brown cowhide does go really well with the brown/green/white stripe webbing. If the red/green/white stripe can be such a huge success for Gucci, why can't the brown/green/white stripe be for dunhill?

It also help that Jude Law is the new face of dunhill, and the marketing campaigns feature the delectable actor with different Ensign leather goods.
